"Empowering Women: Addressing Sexual Harassment in the Workplace" By: KHRITISH SWARGIARY Email: khritish@teachers.org The National Commission for Women (NCW) has been getting more and more complaints about sexual harassment at work from 2020 to 2023. In simpler terms, this means that more and more women are reporting cases of being harassed while they are working. According to information shared during a session in the Rajya Sabha (a part of India's Parliament), the number of cases reported to the NCW has been going up. In 2020, they got 201 complaints, in 2021 they got 250, and in 2022 they got 287. However, in 2023, until the date they collected the data, they only received 150 cases. This is less than the previous years. Altogether, they got 888 complaints during this time.
